Identity · Merchandise
The Jesus Initiative needed an identity with warmth and weight — something that could carry scripture and streetwear in equal measure. We built the brand from the ground up: the monogram, the wordmark, the palette, and the merchandise that puts it on people.
The monogram fuses a cross, a 'J', and a growing leaf into one continuous mark. It reads as a single letterform at small sizes and as a symbol of revival at large scale — a quiet way of saying 'Jesus reviving lives' without spelling it out.
A high-contrast display serif carries the wordmark, giving the brand an editorial, almost devotional feel. Deep maroon (#660000) anchors everything, with olive and violet as supporting accents and white for clarity and breathing room.
We extended the system into merchandise and collateral: tees, tote bags, swing tags and a repeating leaf pattern that turns any surface into brand territory.
"Faith branding usually goes either overly literal or completely abstract. The monogram let us sit in between — a cross that grows."
